We are a small Jazz appreciation group in Shrivenham who agreed to try and bring good live jazz to the village. In April 2023 we brought our first jazz group which proved very popular and we were encouraged to book new groups every two months.
Eventually we took the step of booking six-weekly in the capacious surroundings of the Barrington Arms, but for small groups, we may also meet in the Prince of Wales. These events are usually held on a Wednesday and occasionally on a Thursday.
We are a non-profit group paying musicians the going rate for their services and any accumulated funds are used to help provide an annual Jazz festival in October. This provides a programme of a number of Jazz groups throughout the afternoon and evening with differing styles of music.
Where To Find Us
Our regular six weekly events are held at The Barrington Arms in Shrivenham.
The Barrington is easily reachable by car or the S6 bus route from Oxford or Swindon.
